This 5-11 model (The 5 Power-5 Conference champs, plus the next 11 highest ranked teams) make the playoffs.
1. SEC stay at 8 conference games
2. Power 5 teams schedule at least 1 game per year against another out of conference power five team on a rotating basis. We could continue playing GT yearly, plus another power five team.
3. Strength of schedule counts as one of the determinants (committee plus computer rankings decide SOS).
4. If the other power five conferences that play nine conference games complain about the SEC playing just eight conference games, they have the option of playing just eight conference games.
