I was a GA for the Columbus St. univ. softball team (in Columbus, Ga) from 2012-2015. I personally don’t know Davenport but our team always went against his UNG squad and most of the time we’d lose (and we were usually always the 2-3 best team in the PBC). Davenport is a heck of a coach and his D2 resume at UNG is very impressive. His program simply dominated the Peach Belt and his program started to become a perennial D2 power nationally in the last 5-8 years. Just a really good coach who I think is gonna bring in some top-notch in-state talent for this UGA squad. Excited where this program is going under Coach Tony!
