This was supposed to be "the" year- what about next year?

Yes, we can still make the playoffs, but that is far from a given, and if we do we won't go far. This year, on paper, we looked like a national championship team. The offense had the best OL and QB in the country, a deep and talented running back room, and a more than serviceable wide receiver and tight end room, even without Bowers and McConkey. The defensive front will lose just about everybody going into next year, the secondary sucks this year and we're losing our two best players (Jackson & Starks). What are we supposed to feel good about, the kicking game? Does this mean we have to wholesale clean out the roster, hit the portal, and become the next Colorado?
