Long day for sure. Weather stunk. Like an annoying rain all day, but it is what it is..
This is just my own thoughts, so take it for what it is worth:
A. TIRED: I think everyone is tired.. the team is tired, the coaches are tired..he’ll, even the fan base is tired. The off season stuff, the qb drama, ect has just worn us(me) out
B. Schedule: If I told you we have played 7 SEC games, and ONLY 2 have been at home. Think about that. We knew it would be brutal.. but the imbalance of it I think has really hit this team. I know ppl love Jax, and the money is great. But it really screws our home schedule.. just a pathetic job done for us not pushing back to the league office saying “no way, we are getting screwed on this schedule.. we need to play one of the following at home.. tx, Bama or ole miss”
C. Injuries: yep, everyone has them. But the lost depth at RB has killed us. The o line being banged up has killed us.. plain and simple
It has been a long year. Very long. And next week is a huge week. Win out and go to playoffs and I am happy.. lose a game the rest of the way and season is a failure. It is that simple for me. At 53 yrs old I said I wanted 1 title as an adult.. I got 2.. and yes, Kirby will make the necessary changes.. he is too competitive not to. It is a lot of looking in the mirror. Our identity is being questioned.. what are we going to do about it???
