Buddy Holly, “I Doesn’t Matter Anymore,” released in January, 1959, one month before he died in the airplane crash (written by Paul Anka). This is my favorite Buddy Holly song, with his characteristic “hiccup” feature in his voice, which he has in a lot of his songs.

This song was covered by Linda Ronstadt in 1974; this is my favorite Linda Ronstadt song, also. Of the two versions, I like Buddy Holly‘s a little better; it’s a shame he died tragically at the young age of 22. What a fabulous singer. You can Google YouTube and hear both of these versions.
