Little nugget on Florida starter Jake Clement. He’s a righty, 1-0 with a 4.24 ERA.
Hard thrower, 24 Ks in 17 innings. He has walked seven and opponents are hitting .138 against him. But here’s the interesting stat….of the eight hits he’s allowed, none have been for extra bases - no doubles, no triples and no home runs.
After that, Florida’s pitching is on fumes.
Some have asked why Nolan did not play and am told it was for analytical reasons - same reasons we saw Brennan and Christian get the starts yesterday.
