Blaming the mid-air collision last night on DEI was particularly enjoyable this morning.
His comments were disgusting and of zero help to the poor families who woke up today without their loved ones who perished in the crash.

Agreed. While I agree much of what DT said was spot on…not the time to do that. If responding to a question about air safety going forward, I think it is fine to address his points. But not now. Didn’t like that.Sadly no place for finger pointing right after a tragedy. With all the crash avoidance systems in place in the towers and the aircraft , it will be interesting to see what the investigation comes up with. I saw where someone said the passenger plane was probably following standard approach protocol and would be the least likely to have made an error which makes sense.
What do you agree with?I don't agree with a lot you said here, but I do agree that so many things can be improved. But how do we go about changing things is the question. "Spend our time and resources building up people's skills and knowledge so they can earn their way". That is so idealistic and I don't see any concrete suggestion. It would be great if 90% of the people receiving free lunch would only need that benefit temporarily, but you are living in a dream world if you think that can be accomplished.
And there is no need to make everything Trump does seem self-serving. He does it all by himself. In time of tragedy I would like to see whoever is President deliver a warm comforting message to the American people. But Trump makes it about himself when he should shut up. After New Orleans, he was trying to blame immigration and it turned out to be an American citizen from Texas. This morning he makes it about what the last two Presidents have done, when there is no evidence that anything they did was responsible for this. It's the wrong time and place, but that's his self-centered existence. For all those who want to praise everything he does, go right ahead because there is no stopping you. I hope he can make some positive changes, but he sure brings a lot of negatives to whatever he tries to do. Stop blaming the past and fix it.
Strange request since I did respond to your post, but I agree that both sides need to stop looking for the worst. I thought some who are glad that Trump won would look towards the positive he might do, but I keep seeing references to what was done prior in trying to defend Trump. So I don't see we're getting anywhere. I agree that life is unfair, but not everyone has the same chances. Yes, we could do more to help people, but we keep moving away from that. As I said in my prior response, there is a lot that we can improve. What do you agree with?
Common ground is better to focus on.
I understand. He lacks awareness at times to say the least. I think he is always is trying to accomplish something in his mind/plan and he says the most inappropriate things as result. He is a person who has confidence in himself and wants everyone to know he is in charge. Every politician like each of us has good qualities and bad qualities.Strange request since I did respond to your post, but I agree that both sides need to stop looking for the worst. Unfortunately I don[t have to look far to see the worst in Trump. I don't think you were posting here at the time, but I felt that Trump handled Covid very poorly. It was difficult and there was no winning, but he lacked in leadership that I would like to see in a President. Just like then, today he just goes and spouts off about what caused the crash without having any knowledge. Yes, he started off offering sympathy and made an appropriate statement. That should have been it. But you know what he said (I don't even want to repeat it again because it really pisses me off). He has to make it political and about him. We'll find out what the cause is (or least the probably cause) before long. And we'll find out how his changes work.

I think the left has not let what had happened in the past go so I understand the responses that try to defend him. Neither side is focusing on the present very well. Also people are calling Trump out for his pardons and executive orders and did not call out Biden for the same. No surprise there either.
No one will ever have the same chances so I am not sure why so many focus on that. The more important thing is how we respond to the chances we have. The greatest stories in my opinion are the ones where people have overcome great obstacles and have accomplished great things. If we would celebrate that more than other situations more people might be inspired to overcome and do great things. Equity is a fruitless endeavor and I think equality is where we should focus our time and resources. Some people will always do better given the same chances and some will do worse. But if we help people to find the areas where they might excel and help the learn and grow those abilities we will all be happier and more successful.
I think he told the truth and I believe Biden was hiring unqualified people for the position.Strange request since I did respond to your post, but I agree that both sides need to stop looking for the worst. Who cares if Trump pisses you off . You’re a Biden loving lib you people jump on every single thing he says. It’s a damn shame you didn’t hold Biden to the same standards. You are a hypocritical POS!Strange request since I did respond to your post, but I agree that both sides need to stop looking for the worst. he didn’t blame it on DEI. He specifically said he didn’t know if it had any impact on this specific situation. But if you don’t think the DEI policies haven’t degraded the FAA and virtually all government agencies, you are naive at best. I deal with a lot of different agencies and it’s frustrating . Understaffing is also related to DEI. I know numerous qualified career federal employees that have quit in disgust . We have serious issues and it’s not a quick fix.His comments were disgusting and of zero help to the poor families who woke up today without their loved ones who perished in the crash.

Let me try and take this in pieces.I understand. He lacks awareness at times to say the least. No one has to care, but I can express my opinion like every one else. But instead of questioning something I actually said you want to go the typical route of throwing out an insult. I'm not a Biden loving lib - please show me where I have defended Biden. Yes, I'm going to attack Trump when I feel like it. There are plenty who want to attack Biden even though he's not President anymore (does that sound familiar when he got accused on attacking Trump when he wasn't President anymore) and I'm not stopping you or anyone else.Who cares if Trump pisses you off .
