Saw your post from last night about pistols. For women who shoot little or not at all, I'd recommend a revolver because there is basically no room for malfunction/error - my wife has a .38, and since she's not going to care who made the gun, the cheaper the better as long as its functional. If you still want a .380, I'd recommend a glock 42 over the ruger, and I own both. My reason for saying that is the .380 has only a fraction less powder than a 9mm, which makes it kick hard in a very small gun. The glock is a little bigger and easier to handle

Thanks. Have about decided on a 38. Looking for two good used ones

if you see them anywhere. Can buy a new one for ~$425 with a popo discount. I've got both a Ruger 380 and a hamerless S&W 38 and one of my girls is coming up this weekend. Will get her to shoot both.

Good idea. Used revolvers are safe to buy. Used pistols could be being sold because they aren't reliable. I'd get the smallest and lightest you can, otherwise they might be reluctant to carry it. I imagine you're faniliar with this site, but in case not:

Also, Georgia Outdoor network might be useful
