Standard Medicare will not...they just write checks. Medicare Advantage you have the same issues as regular medical insurance. Just try and get skill nursing care under Med.Advantage. Regular Medicare doesn’t really deny claims. They pay everything up front and investigate legitimacy years later. In exchange for this up front payment, they pay doctors about 30% less than a private payor. Whereas private insurance companies pre-certify things up front and then pay.
There are ALREADY LAWS AND RULES in place to enforce how insurance companies operate. Our regulators do not enforce them.
And yes, UHC is more aggressive in their denials than anyone else. They suck
