Since the SEC went to a 27 game schedule in 1986 we have had two teams that have won 7 or less league games: 2013 when we won 7 and the 2010 team that won 5. (Interestingly, both were coached by Perno). This team looks like it has a shot to eclipse these marks.
I offer this as a sense of perspective. As we look fondly back at Perno's career, he certainly had some good years, but there were some real struggles as well.
