Vaccine seems to clearly work to stop hospitalizations and deaths at least at this time. The data is pretty convincing IMO
Where the vaccine does not show proof of working is in stopping transmission IMO. And it is not just the Delta variant.
But that can become irrelevant if we will stop counting cases and just focus on individual health outcomes.
Cases are not important if the hospitalization and death burden is low.

People are dying at roughly the same rate whether they’re vaccinated or not. Taking the right vitamins and ivermectin as a prophylactic will do way more to protect you than the jab. If you’re high risk that’s what you should be doing.

I understand there is a claim out there that vaccines are either ineffective in general or beginning to lose their effectiveness (Berenson has been hammering that). I think there may be some credibility to the "starting to lose effectiveness" argument (even Fauci has apparently admitted that) but the idea that vaccines had nothing to do with the UK having a big spike in cases but almost no spike in deaths just doesn't stand up to basic analysis IMO.
Check this tweet storm brother. I think this guy offers strong and well-defended points. He basically says what I think, which is there are plenty of things to rightly criticize around the vaccination effort but when I simply look at the data I cannot find a basis for criticizing the effectiveness of the vaccines *for what they were tested to do* - which of course was prevent deaths.
Buried down in his tweet storm is this quote on which he and I agree: "Meanwhile, and I say this as someone who VEHEMENTLY opposes vaccine mandates and remains skeptical of the long-term Covid vaccine efficacy and side effects still to be learned, I also don't think you make the claim vaccines didn't help in the UK/Israel or aren't helping us now."
I appreciate you fighting the good fight and wanting to be as informed as you can be. You’re leaving out one very important variable though and that’s how deaths are categorized. They stopped labeling every death as a COVID death. My wife does medical coding and it wasn’t until this spring that she coded a death with COVID where COVID wasnt the cause of death. Heart attack= COVID terminal cancer= covid Etc…. If you had any COVID symptoms (which is basically everyone in a hospital) is was coded as a COVID death.
What I’d like to see is total deaths by age groups for the last 10 years in any given country. That will tell you everything you need to know. Also the only number we need to be tracking is occupancy and icu capacity levels at our local hospitals. Isn’t that what started this whole thing?
