What are some of the best meat and threes in Athens…..

I didn’t know that they still existed. Haven’t seen one in years.
Preacher Green’s on the Eastside is a new place and is great. No banana pudding though.
I would love one where I am close to Normaltown.
Zaxbys, which is across the street, is supposed to get a new banana pudding in a jar dessert soon. Problem solved.
Went there this past week. We complied appropriately with all of Mr Weaver's commands. ;-) Best fried chicken, greens, and colored butter beans I have had in years.
Strickland's -- the best banana pudding on earth! And the breakfast is the stuff of legend.
I still miss Aunt Bea's. Was the GOAT once upon a time.
Aunt Bea’s was solid so was Peaches!

We used eat there three or four times a week when I worked in Athens on a pharmaceutical plant job about 30 years ago. It was pretty good back then and you could not beat it for value. We worked long hours, sometimes 70 hours a week, or more. Once we made the mistake of eating at a restaurant owned by Michael Stipe. It was a vegetarian place and we had to stop at a gas station to fill up on Twinkie’s and other junk afterward. Never had to do that at the Plantation. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, dessert.
