I keep hearing about all these teams with comments about "they'll make the playoff". But there are only 12 spots. What teams are thought to be big time contenders by their fanbase but miss the mark?
I'll go first - Tennessee, Notre Dame and Clemson as three candidates.
Tennessee has three losses to Oklahoma in Norman, Alabama in Knox and UGA in Athens.
Clemson has two losses out of their first three games against UGA and NCSt.
ND has a fairly easy schedule but they always blow it and while I like their coach, I'm not convinced.
