Don't close the door on Amarius Mims' tenure in Athens just yet.
He was telling a source last night that he planned to stay in Athens. Now of course he may have just been saying what that person wanted to hear. But a second source has heard that his family would like him to stay in Athens.
I suspect this situation may be more fluid than most people suspect. He has not agreed to go to FSU yet despite reports but he has a ton of suitors.
Keep an eye on it but don't believe every rumor that pops on social media.
UPDATE: A third source tells us that Mims is back in Athens and appears he is sticking with UGA. He was apparently out with some of the team members last night. So at this point, he has told multiple people he is staying. We will see.
Best to keep an eye on the transfer portal to see if he takes his name out or if he makes a public comment along those lines.
