We were f-Ing bad this yr and thanks to our toxic staff -or lack of leadership or whatever ..the best part of our staff was to be fired at seasons end - so with bobo gone , Pruitt gone .,,what in the hell was richt going to do to turn this ship around? And if you think brown was coming here once Pruitt was fired had richt been retained ..,you really do need to check on some new meds .now go to bed - some how you've managed to go from kirbys nuts to adopting children - your really all over the place
You seem to be upset. If UGA was really bad this year with 10 wins-what does that say about all the teams that won 7 or 8. I don't take any meds. Riddle me this. If chaney is such a great OC-what was he doing at Pittsburg. I saw them play and they were terrible. So you think smart will be better than Richt. You are entitled to your opinion even if it is wrong. Bammer really missed smart's recruiting this year. I would rather have Pruitt than smart. Smart gave up 40 points with 5 stars all over the field on defense. Something Pruitt didn't have.
One of Kirby's biggest cheerleaders suggested he was "on fire" while on the recruiting trail. I think the flames were somewhat extinguished on that Wednesday afternoon when it became apparent if not for Richt and the previous staff delivering most of the class we would have been in big trouble. Seven spots went unfilled. Kirby had a couple of flips but for the most part the new staff added almost nothing to what was dropped in their lap by the previous staff. Bama already has a huge head start for 2017 and I'm gonna be curious to see if anyone outside of Kirby on his staff can recruit. Even Kirby has to prove to some extent if he's a great recruiter or just a great recruiter for Bama. I'm cautiously optimistic but time will tell if the 2017 class even matches the ranking of this year's class.
Since Brown chose the team that lost 8 of the last 10 against Richt, he (Brown) must have have not considered wins/losses at all. He certainly wasn't impressed by Kirby. So what's your point?
Good post and factual. Auburn,Ut,Bammer will always get some of the best players out of Ga.-for a reason. Pittman could not pull one decent OL. The offensive staff is a big question mark.

If cmr had been retained we would still have Schott calling plays and sale coaching our offensive line - by the way the same line that returned all but 1 starter from the yr before . So what good could have came by keeping cmr at this point?
You will find out this coming year. 10 wins is not a given at Ga. The point is you have an AD that don't know shat about football. Why did he extend Richt's contract and give him a raise the year before firing him. Mcgarity should be fired for being incompent on those points alone. When smart fails mcgarity and miss carla will be gone also. Good riddance to them. Then I can donate to the Hartman fund again.
Yes but you have to admit 10 wins is not what it used to be , and you also must admit that it's really pretty easy when the whole east is crap. It will be harder moving forward because Tennessee and Florida appear to be getting better - but good lord Tennessee was awful for the Dooley and jones years - until this yr. Florida has been bad as well , zook and muschamp yrs were bad and muskrat beat us with a qb who attempted 6 passes
Fact is Kirby signed a great class and held it together and signed a few of his own. That is awesome in a transition year and opens us up to have a big class next year..
Better than 90% of that class was coming to Uga no matter who the coach was. Let's wait before smart is crowned the next rockne. Actually the higher the expectation the better I like it. Smart is going to be in a pressure cooker and let's see how he performs. Going to be fun.

No excuses going forward. I thought Fl. won 2 NC. S C was the best in their history. Richt had a bad record against Fl. His record against other main rivals au,ut,and gt was excellent. Think smart can win 8 of the next ten from auburn? How about 13 of next 15 against gt. No coach at ga. Is going to beat ut,auburn,and gt more than richt did.
Your right ...richt is right there with Saban,Meyer , all the legends - I assume he will be running the acc soon ? How long will it take before he knocks the lid off at the U?
I would not be surprised if he does very well at Miami. Chance to get the best athletes in the country within 100 miles of Coral Gables. What does it say about ga. If he had the best winning % in school history. I think richt tired of the dumbass administration in athletic dept. Smart has the same hurdle. I think Richt needed a good kick in the ass from someone that knew football. Problem there was no one around like that. Same as after Kemp affair Dooley saw the hand writing on the wall. Coaches at ga. don't get the leeway like fl.,au,ut,and bammer. I would have liked for him to get one more year. His class would have had some good ot's in it. Why do you extend a contract and up the salary one year and fire the guy the next year. All because smart said he was going to take a head job. A lot riding on this and it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
Richt won 2 SEC Championships in 15 years. Zero National titles and Zero National title appearances. The Admin is betting Smart can deliver a better result than that. I think he can as well. It's how many Championships you win. All the rest is BS.
You say that because you are used to the 10 win seasons. Ready for the next step that has to come-right? If smart wins 7 or 8 your tune will change. Fulmer started coaching at UT in 1992. Won sec in 97 and 98. NC in 98. What has that got to do with j. Majors?
He was crying with joy knowing he was getting Pruitt for even trade of smart. Also ga. gets to help pay pruitt's salary while coaching at bammer. Saban is still laughing.
No question who Saban was going to hire. Pruitt did recruit this year's heisman trophy winner. Better recruiter than smart. How much did Bammer miss smart recruiting this year. He was catfished by 2 of the top prospects in bammer. He acted surprised.LOL.

If richt was indeed going to keep him ...well then that should tell you all you need to know about richt. Pruitt was good no doubt but if you go to your bosses house and show your ass and on several different occasions at practice call your boss out in front of his team - you gotta go. And for the record - your right - Pruitt won't have a problem at bama - because Saban won't let him - he will show his ass the door so quick his head will spin - big difference in Saban and cmr - Pruitt wanted to be and was the alpha dog here even though it was toxic behind the scenes between the coaches. Did you witness all this that Pruitt was supposed to do. Who put this in the public? Pruitt was a pawn in me gagme being told to fire richt because smart was ready to take a head job. I think that it was overblown. When rocker said mutiny he was talking about the coaches leaving and not. Coaching in the bowl game. If richt had been retained all the coaches would have stayed except shotty. Shotty is a good guy and would have left for the nfl on his own. McGarity is the one that stirred all the shit to ajc.
I give up man - I have looked at 3 different forums tonight and you are arguing some crazy -hit in 2 of the 3. You win - richt was elite , Pruitt has never had any problems anywhere except here and the ones here were def not between him and other coaches def no problem between him and cmr. Fsu fought until the end to keep him - and because of Pruitt now being on board at alabama ...well their recruiting is now elite - he straight closed the deal for bama on NSD 16
