Updated Monday night after latest models are in. Here’s a cool piece of info: there were multiple teams of Hurricane Hunters dispatched Monday to release dropsondes to measure data in the atmosphere and help improve the data for forecast models. That was a vital decision, which helped update a lot and improve the understanding of this developing system. The new data was important, and demonstrates more moisture in the atmosphere than expected, so a few locations are more likely to receive more snow.
Key Impacts: Little to no impact. Perhaps some flurries. You will want to take precautions for the extreme cold temperatures though. Be a good neighbor and check on any elderly folks who may live around you. Sometimes heating systems struggle to keep up with this level of cold air, which could quickly become dangerous.. Maybe consider giving those folks a backup option, if you are able.
