WISENBAKER: Biden’s vitriolic, disturbing speech: Why?

Valdosta Daily Times

A bizarre thing happened as President Biden opened the mid-term debate narrative in a recent speech in Philadelphia: he addressed no issue that Americans care about.

One might have thought an ideological speech by Joe Biden, a candidate who promised to “unify” the country, coming on the cusp of the mid-term elections, would attempt to do that by highlighting the common cause of the nation in strengthening it economically, internationally, and the steps his administration have taken to achieve such unifying goals.

This Biden did not do: the clear intent of the speech was to exacerbate and deepen, wherever and however he could, the divisions in the country for purely political gain.

The socialist Democrats and their apparatchiks planned for this speech for months, from the witch trial called the J6 House Select committee, to harassing prior President Donald Trump administration officials with midnight raids, street and airport arrests, to confiscating at least one GOP congressman’s cell phone, to precedent breaking and stormtrooper-esque FBI raid of a former president’s personal residence.
Additionally, Biden invented and started using the term “MAGA Republicans” increasingly over the past few weeks. Expanding his lexicon to further define that term, Biden invoked the term “semi-fascists.”

These actions laid the foundation for Biden’s recent diatribe.

The tone and lack of hard content in his message was necessary to deflect the national discussion from the real issues Americans care about: the economy, inflation, crime, gasoline and grocery prices, national security, and a looming recession. That these issues turn the mid-terms into a referendum on Biden and the socialist Democrats and their policies is axiomatic. And on each issue the current administration has failed, from the disastrous surrender of Afghanistan to the Taliban to Russia’s ruthless campaign to dominate Europe to a 40-year-high inflation rate to the doubling of gas prices in the last 16 months.

Having no record to campaign on, the socialist Democrats find it necessary and essential to demonize their opposition. They must change the factual narrative to a false narrative.

And that’s what Thursday night’s speech was crafted to do.

The proof is in the pudding.

The 2,966-word speech mentioned the GOP, “MAGA Republicans” and President Donald Trump at least 19 times. He even got around to calling them “white supremacists” and, of course, “extremists.”

There were only three single sentence paragraphs (out of 60) and 86 words concerning Biden’s legislative record. And nary a word about his authoritarian power grab shifting student loan debt to the Americans who either didn’t go to college, didn’t need loans to do so or otherwise paid off their loans, that is, the taxpayers.

Biden didn’t mention the economy, inflation, gas prices, food shortages, crime, the southern border or international threats at all.
These things weren’t mentioned because the socialist Democrats, and Joe Biden, have failed miserably. And they know it.

The angry and bitter words Biden spewed out in Philadelphia Thursday night against a blood red background, complete with soldiers guarding him, attacking all those who oppose their socialist Democrat agenda were simply not presidential, much less unifying, and were repulsive and disgusting.
It was a modern attempt at intimidation using the tried and effective delivery vehicle from the worst regimes in world history.
And if you weren’t disturbed by Biden’s tirade, you should be.

That is a true commentary. Regardless of your political affiliation.

Makes some good points, but the real purpose of the speech was to drive a wedge in the Republican party for those for and against Trump for the upcoming elections. The more Trump stays in the headlines, the more it works in their favor. Republicans who do not support Trump, and there are many, will be more prone to not vote or switch parties temporarily.

The speech was harmful to the country, but they don't GAS as long as they win. Typical for their playbook.

Perhaps, but at this point I know of NO Republicans in my family (25 or more)who are not voting for both Kemp and Walker. Perhaps it’s not like that across Georgia and other areas but I don’t see the speech making moderate republicans switch their vote or stay home. Anyone not voting Republican in November 22 is ok with inflation, socialism, and lawlessness. Period..

I know of four who will not support Republicans who support Trumps election denial. There may not be many but they are out there.

Yes. It is all part of the plan. Between the bill he just passed, the hearings, the raid etc. A calculated plan culminating in a speech where he tried to make going after the right the only thing that matters in this country. Not about fixing our true issues. That we are so bad, and hate this country so much, he has to demonize half of the population. This is the magic trick. And a sick sentiment, some people are finally starting to see thru.

What are their definition of election denial?

i would concur with them if they are talking about voting machines switching votes, dead people voting in large numbers or fake people signing up and voting.

i would not concur with them if they don’t think harvesting of votes occurred in large numbers, laws were changed at last minute that made it easier to vote but controls not updated appropriately, signatures on absentee votes either not checked at all or at a sub-standard level in many close states.

I have no idea if issues listed would have changed election results in any state, but they had some impact on the overall numbers. Trumps issue is some of his folks were spewing total falsehoods along with legitimate concerns. Some of us could discern the difference, many in media either couldn’t or didn’t want too.

It was the most divisive and dangerous speech a sitting US president has ever delivered. far off from his message of unity he was delivering before the election, but then again, nobody ever accused communists of being honest.

i believe they had more objectives with this speech. To incite riots and violent acts by fed up republicans and others with enough sense to know that he is a lying POS.

But most of all, I found his speech objectionable on Constitutional criteria.

Our rights have nothing to do with Mr. Joe Biden OR the US Government. They are NOT The sovereign that dictates our rights and set forth the framework in which we all live. These rights are given by God or nature (however you wish to look at it) and just because the democrat socialists want you think our rights emanate from them, does not make it so.

So Mr. Biden, chuck schumer, nancy pelosi, kamila harris and all US agencies, as well as all republicans, YOU ARE NOT OUR SOVEREIGN and you mean little to a majority of us. Our rights are derived from our maker, The US Constitution and Bill of Rights states and codifies this. You should re-read these documents and re-evaluate your important, elected role in this Constitutional Republic. You will see you have drifted far and wide of the government's limitations and boundaries. If he was legitimately interested in UNITY and peace, he wouldn't even consider a martial, devisive speech such as this. All they wants is power and money to rule over us.

Have any of you looked at this... just the first 10 mins. Bunch of dims denying and questioning elections. So I wouldn't expect yall care. Hypocrites.

When did Dems break into the capital building, push fake electorates around the country or get smacked down by over 60 courts again around the country ruling no legit case for the election being stolen?

OH but see, this is what you dims do, only a few hundred people went to the capital, yet you and others are on here talking about not supporting anyone that believes the election may have been tampered with/stolen.... How many of you dims have pulled your support from the dims denying the elections in the past. HYPOCRITES. PS No courts would take the cases because it would be mass chaos if it came out that there was election interference by the dims. Too bad. Having dims in power is much worse than opening that can of worms would have been. You have just proven the double standard that is the trademark of the dim party.

Still didn't answer my 3 questions

You have a poor understanding of how the American court system works.
Not true, but what is worse is the lack of understanding of our constitution by ALL dims such as yourself. My question to you, why does dims denying and questioning elections not matter to you? Why is it only if pubs question? You don't have to answer, I already know. Dims are double standard hypocrites to the extreme.

You dims have selective memories.

How about when the left BOMBED the capitol?

The Dems have disputed the election of the last 5 republican presidents, so there's that. Remember "selected, not elected" etc etc etc

Was that an extremists group of the entire Dem party?

Were those individuals arrest and bought to justices?

When will you support MAGA Jan 6 terrorists being bought to justice?

Are you trying to say this some how justifies MAGA's attempt to overthrow the 2020 election?

They were best buddies and supporters of Obama, so I guess that would actually be worse than anything that happened on Jan 6th.

We were the first idiots to go into the capital. I will grant you that. But elections have gone to court. And if you watched any of the video, what major politicians said was every bit as inciteful. The whole point of this is this happens both ways. In 2004 an electorate refused to cast her vote for bush. An actual electorate. Because of what she claimed of widespread voter fraud. Jan 6th was wrong. The rest is not unprecedented. Matter of fact most of the election rigged rhetoric comes from the left and it’s long standing voter suppression argument if they lose anything.

An example for you. The Supreme Court heard your case. Just sayin.

Kemp for sure. Not sure about Walker. May leave that one blank.
Kemp is exponentially better than Abrams and I am hoping for a margin of 3% or so. polls seem to indicate he is ahead and has been.

Walker, although having many flaws is better than Warnock for simple fact he is not wanting to go to Washington to enrich himself. I think Walker gets more votes but it goes to a runoff. With a battered and heartbroken Abrams, Hershel

Jones - I have no opinion one way or other on his credentials but he wins because many democrat voters only vote on big races (see Bubba McDonald winning his runoff last year when both GOP senators lost, his vote count was same but many Democrat voters didn’t bother marking ballot for that race)

on a side note @mitchelldawg I agree with your point about point blank election deniers without them giving context. They make me uneasy as I’m unsure exactly what they are referring….

Yes Bush V. Gore went to court, the courts took up those cases and ruled in favor of Bush....totally different than 2020. 2020 Trump and his supports spread lies, tried to submit fake electorates, hacked into voting machines, produced false evidence.....and the kicker every court refused to take up your cases (60 I believe in total) because no lawyer would got in front of a judge and present false information and risk losing their law license. In 2016 several congressmen and congresswomen did vocally protest certification but did not try and commit fraud or performing any other illegal acts to steal the election...that was your side.

Yes they did. Like usual. They were inciting angst at every turn. But the country thrived. So they had to shut up. Go read back what happened in the 2000’s. Lots of illegal activity out there. It is splitting hairs. The capital is the only real difference here. And the election full of firsts due to covid. Watch that video. It is there in black and white. The right isn’t squeaky clean, but your side isn’t either. And is always barking about elections and voter suppression.

So you're saying what Dems did in 2000 is similar to what MAGA did in 2020? I'm interested in what acts were similar?
