We mentioned on the show the other night how a lot of guys go to Alabama to play FOR Nick Saban. If there’s one guy that’s right behind Saban in that regard on Bama’s staff, it’s Travaris Robinson.
Recruits everywhere rave about him. He played a big role in getting Caleb Downs to Alabama, among others. If Nick Saban trusts you with his secondary, you know he knows what he’s doing as a coach and recruiter.
Robinson being a Miami native shouldn’t be overlooked either. Remember how much of a benefit that was when James Coley was on staff.
Overall, this is a major, major win for Georgia’s defensive staff. Considering Muschamp is expected to stay on in an analyst role, Georgia only adds to what is by far the best defensive backs coaching staff in the nation.
