HATES the word……

Back in high school, we used to do a cheer in the stands like this:

Kill kill!
Hate hate!
Murder murder!
Mutilate!

Never thinking anyone might take it literally. Another one:

We got the team!
We got the guts!
We got the other team by their nuts!
Pull team, pull!

Of course, that was not literal either. Not sure what point I’m trying to make. Carry on.

HA!

Got a buddy that grew up in Roanoke, VA. He told me about a HS basketball game when his team was playing Norfolk in the playoffs.

They were chanting this:

We don’t smoke
We don’t drink
Nor Fock…Nor Fock.

When Georgia first played Allbarn way back in 1892, some Ga Tech fans chanted:

Codfish balls!
Codfish balls!
We love codfish balls!

Ga Tech - perpetuating nerdom since 1885m
Some people think the word “coons” for the Falcons is offensive.

But the origin of that started in the early to mid 70s when the Falcons really sucked.

It started when someone decided that the Falcons were more like the “Foul Coons”.,,,, hence the nickname “Coons”.
