1. Stetson was not drunk, unless the drink was winning. Sure, he probably had his fun last night, but he’s tired of interviews. Whatever. He’s our GOAT QB.
2. Stetson might be bitter. You would be too if you loved a place from the time you’re 4 years old and that place rejected you once, accepted you back, but only due to numbers, and only played you out of necessity. Then, when you did accomplish your dream of starting, all that half the fan base did was critique your play when they know a fraction of what you do about what they’re actually watching.
3. Stetson did not tell fans to “F off.” Kirby is a master motivator and instilled in these guys that people doubted them. When Stetson gave his response, he looked at Shockley, who is on TV as media, and said “y’all doubted us.” He was not talking to the fans.
4. It was an awesome ceremony. Our coach and his family look genuinely happy because they’re building a behemoth at the place he loves. He’s probably ready for some of Stet’s in game decisions to be gone as well as some of his cocky self improvisation, but he also realizes that’s a big part of what won us 2 National Championships.
Can we please, for once, just enjoy success and not make it a big spectacle? Flame away.
