In fact, one of them was so mentally addled and pissed off about the lie of a stolen election, she earned herself a bullet in the neck when tried to breach the last barrier between the mob and the Senate floor.

She 100% earned what she got. She made a series of bad choices that culminated in ignoring the armed officer and the fellow rioter who clearly yelled that there was gun drawn and it was about to get serious before she attempted to climb up and over the makeshift barrier (it’s in the video montage I shared above).
She had her brain broken by conspiracies and lies and unfortunately it cost her her life. If you want to be angry at someone, you should start with the guy who was lying, and is still lying, about a stolen election.
Please don’t even try and tell us that had that been a BLM woman attempting to breach the last barrier between her and members of congress that you would suggest it was unwarranted. It’s in no way believable. In fact, you would probably scold the police for waiting so long to use deadly force when clearly under attack by a hostile mob.

This is inherently more difficult to do than a conservative rocking the boat around other conservatives with more liberal thought. I was responding to the post that suggested the democrat party is the party of angry women by highlighting one particularly famous and angry MAGA woman.
But, J6 is actually a highly relevant topic in any critical analysis of VDH and his vision for America.
VDH obviously considers himself a classicist, a traditionalist, an advocate for law and order, fiscal conservatism, a foreign policy that projects strength and American ideals as he laments the fall of American culture.
He complains about Afghanistan while ignoring that Trump wanted to invite the Taliban to Camp David and it was Trump who signed the deal releasing 5000 Taliban fighters (most of their current leadership) and guaranteed a date for US withdrawal.
Somehow Biden is responsible for the lack of support for Ukraine. That is a breathtaking effort to recast the obvious facts of the matter.
According to VDH, the Dems are the only party with spending issues, which also ignores recent history entirely.

The guy gives the game away over and over again by his use of language. In 2020, Biden "deposed" Trump. That is a not-so-subtle way of suggesting nefarious doings without embarrassing himself by promoting more election lies. In fact, the ongoing lies about election fraud seem unworthy of even a mention, which is a glaring omission for a supposed traditionalist like himself.
He mocks US energy policy but ignores or excuses away our current historic levels of production. Inconvenient facts.
His second to last paragraph really sums up the weakness and hypocrisy of the essay.
"Expect instead nonstop distraction as the left beats the January 6 horse to death, calls for abortion on demand, and waits for its underling judges, prosecutors, and juries to jail or bankrupt Trump and therefore do what balloting cannot."
The only reason the Dems remain so focused on J6 is because the guy responsible for it is the GOP nominee for POTUS, he continues to lie about election fraud, which was the root cause, he is entirely unapologetic, and he praises and promises to pardon felons convicted of attacking the police. So clearly, VDH's law and order position is highly malleable depending on the circumstances.
Abortion is a losing issue for the GOP at the ballot box and everyone, including Trump, knows it. I have no doubt that VDH wishes the Dems would stop harping on it. That would be a huge gift to his guy.
And, of course, Mr. Law and Order wants us to believe that the entire Judicial system, one that includes hundreds of judges nominated by Trump and other GOP presidents and a SCOTUS with a 6-3 majority, has been corrupted to the point that an innocent man, simply trying to serve his country, is the victim of system entirely under the control of his political opponents.
I'd love to hear VDH comment on Trump's efforts to install unqualified and now indicted Jeffry Clark to run the DOJ when he needed a compliant leader to aid his efforts to overturn an election he lost. Of course, Clark was so obviously unqualified and in the tank for Trump, the entire leadership of the DOJ threatened to quit before they would let that happen.
In short, VDH is a hypocrite of the highest order, which makes the fact that he is the current darling of the MAGA crowd entirely logical.
Sorry will have to disagree with you on this. This man is a patriot and is trying to stop the destruction of our country from the radical progressives he is absolutely correct in most everything he said. The article that started this thread referenced (and dismissed) J6, which makes my comments entirely relevant. It's not my fault the GOP nominated the guy who tried to overturn the last election and that VDH wants to preach about morals and character while completely ignoring that fact.
The very intentional gaslighting regarding the seriousness of Trump's efforts to steal the election requires continued whitewashing of that day, which includes making Ashley Babbitt some kind of innocent martyr. The truth is, she had multiple opportunities to not be the first person through the last barricade protecting US Congressmen and others from what had already proven to be a violent mob and she made the wrong choices.
They were BOTH bad kills and any honest cop in the world would tell you a hall full of LE was in no imminent danger if MS. Babbitt had made it thru the window. She present no imminent threat of harm or loss of life to the ARMED officers on the other side of the door. Sure, she was committing a felony but LE has other options to stop an unarmed perp before using the last and FINAL option. And...If George Floyd would have complied or Michael Brown had really stopped, raised his hands and said don't shoot...

89 people, so far, have pled guilty to felony assault of a police officer. Suggesting that the officers at the last line of defense had everything under control is just false.
- Approximately 452 defendants have been charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers or employees, including approximately 123 individuals who have been charged with using a deadly or dangerous weapon or causing serious bodily injury to an officer.
- Approximately 140 police officers were assaulted on Jan. 6 at the Capitol, including about 80 from the U.S. Capitol Police and about 60 from the Metropolitan Police Department.
- Approximately 718 individuals have pleaded guilty to a variety of federal charges, many of whom faced or will face incarceration at sentencing.
- Approximately 213 have pleaded guilty to felonies. Another 505 have pleaded guilty to misdemeanors.
- A total of 89 of those who have pleaded guilty to felonies have pleaded to federal charges of assaulting law enforcement officers. Approximately 41 additional defendants have pleaded guilty to feloniously obstructing, impeding, or interfering with a law enforcement officer during a civil disorder. Of these 130 defendants, 116 have now been sentenced to prison terms of up to 151months.
One things for sure, for the majority of Republicans, whoever is the next President from the Democratic party will be the worst president ever. Guaranteed.

Not gonna deny there are hot tales from both sides, but the side that makes politics their religion and disowns family members more often comes from the left.
I can't speak for all. Not amongst my left leaning friends. They didn't like his policy, especially with the Iraq War. Funny that many conservatives now agree. But I didn't see just "worst POTUS ever" being thrown around that much. I'm sure some said it. But Biden was always seen as a moderate, until he became POTUS. Clinton as well. I'd say it just doesn't matter. They will be demonized no matter what. Obama never had a chance to be accepted really.

It does matter when he is trying to destroy our country on purpose. You talk about Odumbo he is the one that started this mess. He said he was going to fundamentally change the country.
