The first subpoena was four months after Biden's inauguration. They gave Trump, an ex-President of the United States, every courtesy to comply. He kicked them in the nuts. They went to get the stuff. /howhardisthistounderstand

Now this could be interesting (or possibly nothing). Trump has filed a motion to not allow the FBI to read any material that was taken that was not the sensitive information sought by the FBI. It was reported that the sensitive information was intermingled with other documents. There may be many reasons why Trump doesn’t want the other information read but to put it in the actual motion is something.

That is the sticky thing to me. If you are a proponent of the rule of law, you don't correct corruption by ignoring the rule of law and going on a vendetta. Iows, I don't want Biden's or Obama's attorneys shaken down in a fishing expedition. I simply want a new congress to practice competent, effective oversight over the fed agencies and an executive branch that fires admins that unlawfully obstructs legal proceedings and or breaks laws while being in charge of enforcing the law.
Iows, the fact that Eric Holder was able to tell congress to pound sand and ignore subpoenas and Brennan and Clapper could lie their asses off doesn't mean I want Pubs or DJT officials to be able to do the same. If congress has a right to issues subpoenas, I want the subjects to either testify and be held accountable if they commit perjury or to legally quash the subpoena. It's a tough deal to be sure but I'm not interested in voting for one group of tyrants to replace another group of tyrants.

Fake news. I have seen Trump personally criticized by virtually every "conservative" poster on the chat. (I'm not a Pub or conservative for that matter) He's been criticized for his personal behavior and mean tweets, etc. He's been criticized by some for supporting a 2 state solution and not knowing when it's time to shut up and let surrogates to the dirty, heavy lifting. He's been criticized for spitballing in public settings when the words of a POTUS are too important for him to ramble in public. And yes, many if not most Trump supporters I know and or see posting here aren't happy that Trump was the guy carrying the banner for America first policies.
I have also seen and agree with the idea that IF a crime was committed and an investigation led to Trump, he should face the SAME penalties anyone else in the same situation would face. However, I do believe that from the beginning he was targeted by forces that are required by law or the ethical standards in their profession to remain non partisan and that is more dangerous to our republic than anything a single former POTUS can accomplish. We're either a nation of laws where EVERYONE is afforded equal protection under the law and the free press operates according to journalistic standards or we're something else where the FBI asks private media to suppress facts in order to ensure a preferred candidate wins an election. I think what you and many others fail to realize is the support for Trump really isn't support for Trump the man or POTUS but support for the guy that is fighting what we believe is systemic corruption in our fed gov.
