I was probably 100X more excited in 2017. Not excited right now. I’m sure that part of it was because it was at least somewhat unexpected in 2017 and also it was our first time in the CFP. This time we are coming off of an ass whipping by a team we will almost certainly have to face again if we make it to the championship game. But it just seems really weird to not be excited about it right now.
I will root like hell for the Dawgs tomorrow regardless.
EDIT: I do really like that we are playing a blue blood program that we haven’t faced in my 55 years. That’s pretty cool.
