Buckle up Folks... The Lunatics are running the show...

And imagine energy storage technology continues to innovate like it has for the last 10 years with the price falling 85%…and with lithium we aren’t beholden to China…

The idea that we are at this standstill in terms of innovation in green technologies is ridiculous. Smart people will continue to solve problems and innovate - bringing these technologies into the mainstream.
If you are talking smart , you are not talking about the dems who are trying to run this country . When I lived in Europe there were weeks when a turbine blade didn't turn , they were not happy campers . And another thing they thought was crap , is single payer medical care ! So don't be in such a rush for socialism .

Ah yes, the most powerful source of energy in the solar system, the sun, we should never think of a way to use that for energy…what a bunch of morons!
Sure, just clear cut and bulldoze a few million square miles of forest to build enough arrays to produce a viable power source. Or I guess we could just cover the entire Sahara desert in solar panels and construct a power line from there…

Or Elon Musk could do it with 101 square miles in the middle of nowhere, but your plan sounds better…

You guys have to have a 76 iq. It is fine if we plan on going green but we need to utilizing our own energy resources in the meantime. Shutting down our own pipelines and becoming more dependent on foreign oil while working on a dream that is 20 years away is beyond stupid.
More than 20 years before we could be dependent on wind and solar. Govt will have to build many nuclear plants if they want be able to meet energy needs without oil and coal.

Certainly not arguing against this. We should have a comprehensive strategy for our future energy uses and as technology in renewals advances, we should gradually replace as much fossil fuel as possible to be less reliant on any foreign countries. And that is a liberal policy.
What fossils make up fuel? We use 80 million barrels of oil per day. Just us. I know I'm the crazy one but no way all of the oil in the Earth is from dinosaurs. What if oil was a naturally produced substance within the Earth? How would that change things?

You are kidding, right?

Nope. How many dinos does it take to fill 80 million barrels of oil? That's our DAILY use just in the US. Imagine globally. How many fossils does it take? If you know the science, I'll listen.

We don't use anywhere near 80 million bbls per day. It was 19.5 before Covid, went down to 17.2 in 2020, occasionally dipping into the high 16's, and still hasn't fully recovered. Of course increased prices and supply line issues in the past year have helped hold down consumption.

No. What proof do you have that the oil is from animals. I think it’s complete BS. I’m educated as many here are and it is. Not a crazy statement. It’s really an Asinine far fetched hypothesis to think that all the oil and natural gas comes from aeons of fossil and plankton decay under pressure.

You might read up on the abiogenic theory of oil formation. I think it’s makes more sense than animal and microbes decaying.

Musk is now saying we could build 6 nuclear power plants and be done with energy production for the foreseeable future, including complete replacement with electric cars. The energy produced would be cheaper, more reliable and do less environmental damage than any current "green" initiative.

My point was that no one thinks that 100% of oil/natural gas is from animals.

Invest In American production. The reality is the majority of our imports come from Canada and Mexico. I will take my chances on reliance with them.

It’s not possible for them to be this stupid. Their goal is to pork us to the benefit of other global regions.
clarity could be cleaner?

I'm a tad mad...
