It isn’t her saying it. The fbi investigated it and redacted it. The house committee asked for the redacted doc. Wray sat on it until they held him in contempt. This is checkmate either way. The fbi protected Biden and his Ukrainian connections. When they should have been transparent. Or Biden is taking bribes. Either way the point is proven. Why wait to be held in contempt for something untrue and part of some disinformation? This one is a loser for the Dems either way. It proves what most of us have always believed. Joe is actually not responsible for his adult son, who is under criminal investigation and as such likely not inclined to offer up much of anything. If there is proof of Joe receiving unexplained, multi-million dollar payments then republicans should share that proof. I suspect it would be very damaging to Joe and his administration.

I don't think Biden is corrupt - if we see that he is, I'll be surprised, but I am not going to deny the fact at that point - however, it would be counter to everything we know about the man. Look at the budget deal - he had other levers to pull, but didn't, because that's just not his style. Weirdly, he negotiated with a knife at his throat and... won.

Well it is not surprising that the official reason for his firing was something other than “he paid Joe Biden $5M”. Either he did this or the FBI informant is making all of this up. The problem is that the money trail is there, so there has to be some explanation.

The simplest explanation is usually the right one. Money trail + a confidential informant explaining in detail what the money was for, with clear benefit on both sides? Explains why someone so unqualified would find himself on the Board of a foreign energy Company also.

You may be right that this doesn’t stick. But you are a smart dude - at least admit this has a real stink to it. And this isn’t about BJ’s in the Oval Office. It is a much bigger deal than your typical “scandals” which usually revolve around lies to avoid political fallout. This isn’t about vocal dishonesty - which is par for the course for politicians. This is about literally getting bribed while holding elected office. Not some administrative roll. The guy was elected VP and getting paid to use his office benefit a foreign entity. Arguably the biggest political scandal in American History if true.

Edit: I think we can agree the Country deserves a lot better than Trump v Biden. Absolutely ridiculous that a Country as great as ours can’t do better. Probably 20 million better candidates out there. Literally. If this thing takes out Biden and the documents thing takes out Trump, our Country will be better for it.

No doubt about that last thought. We the people deserve much better leadership at all levels of OUR government. But, until WE demand term limits, age caps and accountability in every office at every level, we’ll continue to get more of the worst. We have to MAKE our public servants accountable to us, not to their parties or to their unions. THEY are not going to fix things. WE must fix THEM!

This happened. Way too much smoke. And while I generally dismiss this stuff on both sides looking for “gotchas” and interpretations of gray areas that will stick, there is real smoke here.

The only reason it isn’t being treated as such is because it is lost in a sea of allegations on both sides - much weaker stuff. I don’t know how this gets explained away.

Every major career ending scandal starts with a little bit of smoke. This one is gonna ignite. I believe there are very important people sweating bullets about this. Or maybe not. Up to the democrats..they may choose to use this as a way to get the old man out.

Regardless pretty clear to me he sold influence for money. Got the guy who was investigating Burisma fired. And likely replaced with a friendlier prosecutor. For money.

Way too much smoke. And this isn’t a porn star payoff (which happened) or keeping classified materials in boxes (which happened). This is getting paid directly by a foreign entity to use your office to benefit they foreign entity.

Biden will not be running for president in 2024.
