Poe returned to Athens this weekend on his official visit, the first official he's taken. This comes after he unofficially visited Athens March 14, the first day of spring practice.

Sources have indicated to UGASports that this visit went well for the Bulldogs. The coaching staff made a strong impression on both Poe and his parents as they tried to give an idea of what life would be like in Athens.

Culture and relationships are two of the points at the heart of Georgia's pitch. Stacy Searels is certainly a big advocate of that. Multiple recruits have told us that Searels' wife is a common sight around the football facility on these recruiting visits. It's easy to sell that the offensive line is a big family when the coach's family is always around.

Searels has been able to build a strong relationship with Poe to this point. Poe has told us before he likes Searels' old-school style. The guys Searels has put in the NFL is a solid selling point as well.

Poe and Jordan Seaton are the two top targets along the offensive interior. In Poe's case, his recruitment still seems pretty open. As I mentioned, this is his first official visit with trips to Clemson, Texas Tech, Auburn, Alabama, and Oklahoma coming up this summer as well.

As it has several times in recent cycles, Georgia went with the strategy of getting the first OV and setting the bar high. It sounds like things went well, but there's a long way to go. Too early to call a favorite or favorites at this point.
