… diehard Dawg fan but I’ve lived here since the mid-90’s. Some info on a few places to eat/drink:
SOUTH COLUMBIA:
CC’s City Broiler - best steak in Missouri
Murray’s - a classic “neighborhood” bar & grill in South Columbia … lots of locals
Chris McD’s - ditto ^^^ but a little more upscale
Sophia’s - classy yet casual local restaurant with an Italian flare … fantastic food and service
Park - take 63 South out to “Discovery” … Rocky Mtn style restaurant (shared/small plates style menu but great food)
DOWNTOWN:
Barred Owl - eclectic & sophisticated restaurant with unique menu & gigantic bar (LOTS of Bourbon). Our “date night” place
Glenn’s Cafe - Cajun/Creole … blackened redfish, crawfish, raw oysters, etc. Pricey
Flat Branch - good Micro Brewery/American Grill, very popular spot with great ambiance
Shakespeare - hometown pizza staple known across the Midwest - good but overhyped IMO
Booches - fantastic hole-in-the-wall mini Burgers (Billiards on Broadway downtown is even better, IMO)
44 Canteen - American bar and grill with a Mexican/South American twist; really neat, casual place and great food
Kampai - incredible Sushi … yes I know this is beef & BBQ country but the fam eats here weekly. Outstanding
Bangkok Garden - authentic Thai all cooked-to-order with fresh ingredients; best custom egg rolls on the planet
Bud’s Classic BBQ - not quite as good as the World Famous KC joints … but pretty damn good.

Ozark Mountain Biscuit Company - phenomenal!
BRUNCH (Sat & Sun):
Glenn’s Cafe - upscale but very, very good!
