I think Mike McClair is super smart and we've respectfully been on opposite sides of that one. but he's like "Yeah, Notre Dame" and he called it early. Everyone was like "you're an idiot". He was like "I promise you Notre Dame will be favored against Georgia." Sure enough, it opens up Notre Dame favored against Georgia. I don't want to make this look as though I I discount what Notre Dame has done or can do. In the same way Tom, that you're not discounting what Georgia could do. But I think I am on the other side of that. I think I've got more confidence in Georgia and maybe it is blinded by the logo on some level. But Georgia has gotten by with some easier regular season schedules than a lot of their opponents in the Southeastern Conference. They did have to play a tough schedule and they get in a horrendous spot down 28 to nothing against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Carson Beck played terribly in that loss to Ole Miss. But they pushed around Texas twice and they stormed back against Alabama. I'm just not going to sell them down the river right away. Especially playing in New Orleans in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day at the end of that first round at the end of that quarterfinal day.
