Yes, but. Could be rabid. Fight went from yard to up tree. My cat treed him. I don’t think the raccoon was full grown and my cat was limping afterward.

Had a Husky kill a rabid skunk once and ended up with a large bite on his head. He was late on his rabies and the vet doubled up on the vaccination. In that case everything worked out good.

I appreciate it. We tried to drug it and take to the vet but it wouldn’t fall for it. You cannot pick this cat up, the cat will tear you up. Right now it’s somewhere outside right now. We’ll try again tomorrow, and get to the vet Monday. If it’s not too late.

Have you been able to see or check on the cat since the fight?… seeing a raccoon in daylight is sketchy, but if fight was at night then probably not rabid… hope your cat is ok…

Do you have a have a heart trap ? Can of tuna fish in that sucker would work within hr or so I bet. Bring some welding gloves for vet in case he doesn’t have something to handle that thing with, they will sedate him if needed.
