No whites or Hispanics who paid the same rate need apply. All hail open racism under a black president and black AG.

Similar to the payout to black farmers. The census showed only some 20,000 black farmers in all of America yet about 90,000 fat checks went out based upon you signing a statement that you farmed or attempted to farm or attempted to rent property to farm at some point in your life and failed because you couldn't get funding from any source. Then the Mexicans and women got in the act and shook the Obama admin down one more time. Settlement checks just went out to them, not as much nor nearly as many (after all some of these women are....horrors, white). The candy store is open but the folks at the front of the line are the preferred color then immigrants, then women. And Bern/Hill (maybe the ticket) are fixin' too tear down the store and build us a big ole candy mall. So brace up if you are not black or an immigrant or minority female. Middle class is worst class going forward it appears.

We really don't know the facts that led to this settlement. I've read that direct annual farm subsidies run between 10 and 30 billion.
I saw first hand how large land owners manipulated the system when I lived in Colorado, there was no shame in the way they bilked the system. If there really were unfair practices a one time 1.2 billion settlement is small compared to what these large land holders take from tax payers every single year.
