After wrapping up the first week of fall semester classes, the Georgia football team practiced for two hours in shells Friday afternoon at the Woodruff Practice Fields.
The Bulldogs will hold their second scrimmage of the preseason Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
“It was hot today and it tested them,” head coach Mark Richt said. “We are well over halfway through with about two weeks to go. We have a big scrimmage tomorrow, and it’ll tell us coaches a lot about where everybody is right now.”
This will be the second scrimmage in nine days for the Bulldogs, who will have a day off on Sunday before returning to practice on Monday.
Georgia opens its 2015 schedule on Sept. 5 when they play host to Louisiana-Monroe at 12 p.m. The contest will air on the SEC Network.
