Did you see the California wealth tax? It is retroactive to 10 years back. How is that legal? Even if you moved out of there seven years ago.

Right, they feel as though they've been anointed as decision makers and representatives of the people. They are actors, who nature are phony, so I definitely don't want them telling me a damn thing. It is a business arrangement, I pay to watch them in movies, that is it. Stay in your lane and leave the little people alone.

IMO, the best part of SoCal is Newport Beach area. Balboa, Corona Del Mar, Laguna Beach. It’s also a easy drive to La Jolla and you can take weekend trips to Catalina Island from Balboa. The drive to the Palm Springs area for golf is just a few hours away.

Its sad that we would let this happen in our country. But, unsurprisingly, towards the end of the article one of those interviewed blamed Trump. Said he has done nothing to help the poor. Even those that have been destroyed by liberalism are so brainwashed they can't believe what they see with their own eyes. Its just unbelievable.
Yeah, I noticed that and found it absurd that in a city where the rich could literally house every one of those poor folks and the policies that are creating the mess are solely from the loony left, he wants Trump to fix the issue. Of course, that type of person is usually the first to scream dictator when Trump tries to enforce existing federal immigration law. My only hope is they don't bring there here when they move to more attractive states that have historically been ran by conservatives.

Nashville has already started down that road. It will not end well for that city. Places like Austin, TX are trending wrong as well. They just cut something like 1/3 of their police budget.

Rural power still alive in Georgia and may have a few years left, but the reverse exodus back here has been happening for almost 40 yrs and they mostly vote dem for now. I still think we may have more time left than Tennessee, maybe because we have property taxes, as much as I hate to admit it.

I just assumed it was an obligatory stab at Trump by the media. I’m at the point I don’t care. The media have become so dishonest it’s actually driving people to vote for Trump even though they don’t love him. This reminds me of that line from The Godfather when Sonny is going to the mattresses and Clemenza says something to the effect that it’s not so bad because every so often they need to clear out the bad blood. We’re at the point where the younger generation needs to learn the hard way that success comes only from hard work and Socialism is not the answer.
I was just telling someone the other day that a 23 year old today who grew up where everyone gets a trophy is learning the hard way during Covid and the riots the same things our generation learned at age 7 - primarily how to cope with the fact that nobody loves you.
As I read somewhere......you can vote socialism in, but your going to have to shoot your way out.
And they are demanding that you adopt their politics. They are threatening elected officials that they will take their productions elsewhere if the locals do not conform.
Just as an aside, the People's Republic of California actually has a requirement (SB 1887) that the state will not pay for any travel costs or other payments to states with laws they don't like. There are 12 states on their list, including most southern states except Georgia.

I read that an estimated 1 million people have fled NYC. For the most part it's people with "vacation" homes in Connecticut or the Hamptons but most aren't coming back due to the deteriorating conditions in the city.
The interesting part is NYC's city income tax which is only paid for the days you live in the city. There is going to be a huge budget shortage. Wilhelm got some serious problems, but then again, there aren't many big cities that don't have a huge problem and people are fleeing because of it.

Worry not, the dems have a plan to bring the cities to your suburb. I know in my county, the newest high school is highly rated and it filled with children of middle to upper middle class parents. The county was sued by the fed gov and now are building a huge sec 8 housing complex about a half a mile from the school.
They can come but they better be polite. We don't tolerate trouble makers out here.
