I can see no reason that sexuality should be a part of the curriculum of children unless introduced by their parents. And if we choose to do so, I am confident that the huge majority of teachers are not qualified to introduce such material.

Ok. I’ll accept that opinion. I disagree that we should be discussing any form of sex with children that age. They don’t care and have no biases. We create bias by introducing information to young people who are not capable of independent thinking on such deep subjects. My opinion, but I think the least racist and judge mental group of people in the nation is probably in kindergarten. They just don’t care.
No, I agree 100% that they don't care. That was my point in my post when I gave the example of talking to my son about the LGBTQ community, they find it no big deal. It's adults who are injecting their bias into this topic that's creating all the drama. That's why I find this whole discussion of grooming completely silly.
There’s a big difference in you having the discussion with your son and a teacher. When you have the talk you have control over how you influence your son’s views on the topic. Parents don’t have that control when teachers are having that discussion. Too often when teachers have the discussion they present it as a lifestyle that should be celebrated. Often to the extent that giving children the impression that a LGBTQ person is special. Most Christian parents will have a lot different discussion with their kids on the topic. Christians don’t teach their kids to celebrate a sinful lifestyle. Love thy neighbor yes, but not their sin. Teach reading, writing, arithmetic, science, and leave the lifestyle discussion to the parents.
