Bama doesn't win because They kiss Saban's ass. They kiss His ass because They only care about winning.
Meyer won at UF where He was allowed to let His players run wild. he is winning at OSU where They don't let The HC run the University, at least not anymore.
The common denominator is Meyer is a great coach. Saban still wins without over-signing. Would He have won 3 titles in 4 years without that advantage ? probably not. We didn't lower Ourselves to that level though, We lobbied to have the rules tightened, which they were.
It should be up to Kirby to conform to Our principles, if He chooses not to, there are other places for Him to coach and other coaches We can hire. I'm betting Tom Herman could be extremely successful within Our way of operating.
