smarter than they are and talk themselves out of the obvious. Anyway, the average height of an NFL QB is now 6'1.5". Not long ago, they died on a lot of hills, begging you to beleive that it was basically impossible to play the position under 6'4.5.. and OT's under 6'6... edge rushers under 6'4" just impossible. ILB's, safeties, TE's needing to be a specific size has never proven crucial, but still they just need to come across so surgical in their selection process and missing obvious proven players at high levels in the process... wing span this, hand size that... bubble butt, blah blah blah... and they act shocked when they didn't see something that a far less qualified audience (who's seen a player 50× more, Jamaree Salyer is the grossest example that comea to mind... and miss me with that injury BS, Justin Shaefer was way more injured, was questionable to ever play again at a certain point, was clearly half the player... and drafted higher) knew without overcomplicated things. The average nerd hits on these picks as often or more (don't pretend most of Fontenot's finds haven't been misses, when a more obvious pick was sitting there).
The Eagles have put on a clinic when it comes to not avoiding the obvious and all they did was win a Super Bowl doing it. They didn't avoid what people clearly see with their own eyes. Who knew?
Guess what dummies, most of the heavy lifting and mining has been done for you at the college level (with actual football). How many times does an NFL GM actually mine and refine a player that was somehow missed for 22 years? Some... not nearly as much as these guys try to contort to make you beleive.
