Depends. If the power brokers could control the accounting firm, there would be no huge outcry. Otoh, it's not really that the left hates Trump or Musk as much as it is they are doing the dirty work for their authoritarian, grifting masters. Anyone going after the slush funds would have been demonized and that's why our government has turned into the corrupt monstrosity it is today.
DOGE style audits should have always been standard OP for our government and there is a reason why nobody protested in the streets when the Pentagon lost billions and couldn't account for the money or multiple green energy companies went belly up after receiving hundreds of millions and nobody faced an Enron type investigation. The power brokers control the MSM and can use them to soften stories they want ignored and to sensationalize any story they want to use to whip up dissent.
