A bigger problem is that Fox simply cannot coach offense. We too often go nowhere for 30 seconds and then force JJ to hoist up a 25 footer as the clock runs down. Last year it was Mann with the shot clock running out having to dive into the lane with the ball to try and draw a foul.
Fox will never have an offensive system in place that allows for a free-flowing, up tempo style of play that not only is more effective but is more attractive to watch as well.
Oakland came into this game ranked 114 and yet would've been our best win of the season. Like last year, this team will have a horrible record against better teams and will likely eek into the NIT, get blitzed by a small college in front of 3500 people on a Tuesday in March, and then we'll prepare for next year where Fox will blame losses on missing JJ and Maten.
The 12 year plan, you know.
