Regarding the targeting call against Jackson, I have said for a couple of seasons now they should stop only reviewing these calls in slow motion. In real time the defensive player has about a half a second to make a decision while the offensive player is making an adjustment to the hit. In Jackson’s case, he was probably going to make a tackle on the offensive player’s legs. The offensive player lowers his head in targeting position and targeting was inevitable. At the most, both players should have been ejected for targeting. At best, it should have been a no call.
