I remember when Stetson was on campus in his first stint. Donnan raved about him. Long before anyone saw him play. Long before we ever saw his face. Donnan was like “that Bennett kid can play, I’m telling ya”. Turned out pretty good.
A couple years ago, Cash Jones was his guy. “Cash Jones, I’m telling ya can play. He’s fast, tough, and has good hands out of the backfield”. I rolled my eyes watching the video. I didn’t doubt him, but I didn’t believe him either. Kid has been invaluable this year.
He said the same kind of stuff about Dirty Dan years ago. Dude has got a good eye. Guess he’s a hall of famer for a reason. Good on you, coach. I’m listening without questioning from now on.
