Bad news Horn:
Just announced that he's committed to UGA.

A bit of backstory ...

Calicut took his Texas OV last weekend. I talked to him on his way home and he told me he was going to be committing to Texas on Friday. I then saw him on Monday in Indianapolis for the Rivals Five-Star media day. He literally gave me commitment quotes on the Longhorns. But about 20 minutes after talking to me, he talked to a Rivals reporter from our Georgia site and he told that person that he was going to surprise everyone and commit to Georgia.

We were all kind of unsure on what to believe. On Tuesday, I saw Calicut at the actual camp and he confirmed to me then that he would in fact be committing to Georgia.

So much for those commitment quotes. Maybe I'll be able to use them in December or something

Donut is to Buford as Horn is to North Shore:

My dislike for north shore is at an all time high. I can't think of a good decision from a North Shore player since Cory Redding. They should call that place Flakes R Us.

The Bammer excuse Horn: He looked at that room and did not see early playing time with us. I get it. Good luck to the young man unless he is playing Texas.

Rebuttal Horn: Georgia has 5 other DBs committed in this class.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles Horn: Not a fan of playing games. I was hoping we would land him, but seeing how he handled this takes the sting off a bit.

"Since 2021, UGA has only had 3 first rounders and 3 second rounders drafted from their secondary, so what gives?" Horn: I certainly wouldn't go so far as to consider they have a better secondary and success than us. I figured the addition of Orphey would really help us with this one and open the NS pipeline back up.

Hopium Horn: BS Games. If he doesn't flip later, he's dead to me, and hope Longhorns beat Georgia's ass in SEC Champ each year he is there.

Fox and grapes Horn: and he could flame out within 1 year and hit the portal ala Humphrey, who was even rated higher.

Comedian Horn: Texas just did not want to spend as much on him as Ga did.

"Took a pay cut to get out of Texas" Horn:
can't think NIL pretty sure Jason had said in another thread he might be taking slightly less NIL to Georgia than what he would have got at Texas.

Joe Friday Horn:
I think he ends up a 5*.

Georgia had 7 DBs drafted in the last 3 NFL drafts.

"Because what we did in the seventies should count for something" Horn: By DB history meaning w/in last 4 years

Sympathy for the Donut Horns. Imagine if Searels were a Buford alum: We’ve had 2 coaches now with Northshore ties and they can’t recruit a key player.

Facing the truth Horn: Na we were the better offer. Hate this excuse. We just got beat

Thinking long term Horn: NIL is short term money the NFL is long term money. So if he feels taking less for a staff that can make his ultimate goal come true I get it. I believe Richard Wesley did the same.

"Let it go, but keep the hope alive" Horn: Let it go……..we will get him in the portal 1/2 years

"We just did what they've done ten times more often. I don't understand." Horn: Didn’t a Texas secondary player just win the Jim Thorpe award after being developed while at Texas?

Fake News Horn: Where is this reported?

"The kids these days..." Horn:
The way he did that seems like he was trying to deliberately diss Texas. Why would he do that? Youthful stupidity or just ego driven immaturity?

"Why were we even trying to get this near five star to begin with? Makes no sense." Horn: I don't understand why he would have considered us because of the depth chart. And I don't know why Sark would want to spend a high NIL number when you still have money tied up in Jonah Williams, Xavier Filasame and Zelus Hicks who all are potentially equal or better players and will all have to fight to get reps in the 2 deep at Safety already because there maybe better players in front of them.

"We dodged a bullet" Horn:
Wait, wait. So he gave a false commitment quote about Texas, knowing that he intends to commit to Georgia? So he lied to you intentionally? Woof. I'm not sure what that says about Calicut's character. Not a good look for the kid.

And as a final note, I gotta say these fans take the cake for being in love with their program to the point of nonsense. Someone actually posted this: He said it was more about Georgia's history of having top defenses overall. And got about ten laughing response clicks. I thought for a second it might be laughing as in that's not the real reason. But reading the whole thread, I do think they feel they are superior on D.
