Not a big deal as many athletic departments end up operating in the red. But it highlights the other issues with revenue sharing. If you’re operating at a deficit and now you have to allocate at least $20M of your revenue to athletes, your deficit just got considerably bigger. Many schools may have to make significant budget cuts in their Athletic Departments to account for athlete revenue sharing. I know it’s an issue some schools are already discussing publicly.
