We have a house in the east side Green Acres subdivision and were wrestling with our options as our senior student renters are done in July.
Certainly we can sell it and should be a pretty good market. We get out of an ARM that is killing us right now. option 1
We continue the long term rental but as we increase the rent to match the increased mortgage, the market may not bear that. option 2
And option 3 is where I need help, short term rental. We live 5 hours away and cannot handle the amount of cleaning with STRs but we have asked around and no one has a cleaning company to suggest. Any of you locals have contacts? Also for those who rent short term, can you pay a $2k mortgage in the off season with a STR?
