He has, in theory, the most important job in the world, yet as of June had spent 188 of his first 500 days in Delaware, Camp David, and Nantucket. How can this not bother you? It bothered me when Trump did it going to Mar a Lago all the time, and the fact that Biden leaves the White House even more than Trump is ridiculous. Yes, Presidents often seem to take a lot of vacation, but they are still working. With all the problems we have, the last thing I'm concerned about is where the President is currently.
So why is this ridiculous? Can you give me some examples when not being in the White House has made a difference? Welcome to the JBS club.
What I mean there is that even if Biden can technically be out of the White House, it isn't a good look to be out of the White House for non-job-related reasons, almost 40% of the days since he has been in office. Part of the job of a president is to be the figurehead leader of the country and constantly going back to Delaware most weekends just isn't a great look in my opinion. Similar to a CEO of a company - even if they have a big home office with all the bells and whistles enabling them to work from home, most will go into the office regularly because it is challenging to be a remote leader.
