In spite of all these amazing recruiting classes, we have had the last seven seasons, our offensive personnel now compared to that in 17 is a significant drop off.
In ‘17, our RB’s were three all timers and Chubb, Swift and Michel. Plus Herrien and Holyfield
WR’s we’re also better in Godwin, Mecole, Wims, and Ridley (all NFL players)
OL - three first rounders in Wynn, Wilson and Thomas plus Kindley and Galliard (both drafted)
TE - Nauta/BLAZEVICH
QB- Fromm
There is not one position group I would prefer on today’s team than 2017’s. The only close one is QB. You can talk about how Beck is possibly a first rounder, but who would you rather have in the clutch? Fromm easily in my opinion. Would Beck have had the cajones to make that last drive against OK in the semifinal?
So for all the great recruiting rankings we have achieved, today’s personnel still can’t match up with our talent back in ‘17.
