Bongino is a conspiracy-spouting clown. The Deputy Director is the person who runs the day to day operations of the Bureau and he’s going to be an utter and very public disaster.
I have to thank Trump for every appointment like this. It removes plausible deniability for the GOP in Congress and those in the courts inclined to pave the way for the breakdown of our Constitutional order.
We’ve already seen GOP pushback on the scandalous lies about Ukraine. Prices are up, DOGE has a team a tech bros shredding important programs that people care about, our sixty year alliance with Europe has been destroyed in thirty days, Canada is rightfully hostile to the 51s state rhetoric and Trump already has the worst polling numbers of any President thirty days in to a presidency.
It’s not sustainable, and putting a deranged idiot like Bongino in at such an important role will only highlight the utter lack of interest in governing shown by the administration.

I’m not familiar enough with potential candidates to say, but Bongino is a horrendous pick. He is a Matt Gaetz-level bad pick, literally one of the worst people I could think of.

As I said, I’m quite happy that Trump continues to put under-qualified lunatics like Bongino, Patel, Hegseth, Gabbard and Kennedy in critical positions of power, just as I’m pleased that Trump is so clearly carrying water for Putin by spouting obvious lies and propaganda about Ukraine. I hope the wealthiest guy on the planet continues waving a chainsaw around while gutting programs that impact people’s lives in a real way.
Trump didn’t get half of the electorate to vote for him, and out of those who did, many of them didn’t know that they were signing up for this shit show. They absolutely should have, but better late than never, I guess.
Trump’s polling numbers are plummeting, GOP congressman are catching hell from their electorate back home and just about every economic indicator is heading in the wrong direction. Better this all happen quickly than over the next two years.
I didn't know until after Patel was confirmed that the appointment last 10 years. I hope that is enough time to fix it. Bongino should be a big help.

As long as Bongino doesn't swear to the accuracy of documents he knows contains false information in order to spy on political opponents, utilizes FBI assets to pursue dangerous criminals instead of grannies praying in front of an abortion clinic or parents arguing with the local PTA and performs his job with the rule of law and the rights of the accused in mind, he's a huge improvement from the O and Biden political hacks.
Who knows how Bongino and Patel will work out, but in this season of mistrust in the FBI we need outside forces to come in and make changes instead of another career political hack that talks a good game but just falls right into the trap (Wray and Comey).

I’m actually more angry with Biden, who should have announced after the midterms that he would not run for another term. Then we could have had a proper competition for the nomination.
I share equal ire towards Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who should have retired, thus allowing Obama to replace her.

IMO it’s better to have a party loyalist as long as he is fair and doesn’t use the agency to go after opposition and one that you know where he stands than another Comey or Wray that are basically politicians and you can’t trust what they say.
FBI needs some serious restructuring and accountability . I have seen some pretty good law enforcement analysis of the botched raid at Mar-a-Lago. Whether you believe this was a political raid or not it was a total embarrassment for supposedly the premier law enforcement agency in the nation. Botched warrants, items taken not covered in the warrant, failure to itemize and account for items taken, failure to provide the Trumps with an itemized list of items taken, etc.

The polls are actually much better than he has posted. Harvard poll was basically a landslide for Trump so far. Even cbs had their own poll which came out in trump’s favor. Who in typical lefty fashion wasn’t even considered to be put on air apparently.
It is so nice to hear the actual politicians carrying these things out explain what is happening. Even France was on board with what Trump is trying to do in the Ukraine. Taking steps towards peace and not more war. Creating a partnership to rebuild Ukraine along with allowing European troops there will be part of the deal. They may have to give up some land, but that was happening the minute Russia invaded.
Also Nice to hear Saturday was the lowest border apprehension in a very long time. Apple offering 500 billion towards American manufacturing was an enormous win. It hasn’t been all perfect with doge. There are going to be mistakes and ups and downs with any presidency. Things are actually moving in a much more positive direction than any doom and gloomers would have you believe.
