I have posted a couple of other places that if the Committee screws up, they will not be a thing in 2026. The CFP-12 format is set for 2 years for those who don't know. Then it changes to whatever the SEC and the B1G decide they want (I am being a little hyperbolic there, but not much). One thing those conferences did in their meeting in Nashville shot a missile over the Committee's bow, telling them, "Don't screw this up." So far, I'd say they are doing a great job of screwing it up.
So, if they are gone, they will be replaced by AQs, and then a re-worked poll will be conducted for seeding and about 3 at-large spots. You know the rules coming in, how the polls work, schedule and play accordingly. The whole AQ thing can be a post on its own, but let's talk polls. Here is the old BCS Poll as of today, and then a pool that is a composite of sixty-six (66), yes "six six," polls or power ratings. I am still digging into it to see what I think about it, and we'll know more when we see how it handles the tOSU/IU and ATM v. Texas games.
Thoughts?
