Good morning UJD, 911, and all you truly good yet deplorable Dawgs (you know who you are and who you ain’t)………It’s Friday, April is gone, May is here, get out of your house, breathe the fresh air, dance in the streets if you’d like…….Do as the Swedes do…….Seriously, I don’t know if we did the right thing or if we over-reacted on this virus thingy…..I’m leaning toward the latter, but again I don’t know……I do know it has set a lot of folks back, and our Country too…….Hopefully we can rebound……Hug your kids……Tell them you love ‘em……Take care……
UGA SPORTS:
I’m gonna mention a Dawg great in the UGA football spotlight section this morning, just to make sure at least something Dawg is mentioned today in this “DAWGChat” forum………Today’s DGD in the spotlight is former Dawg Quarterback Mike Bobo (to save time, I used an old UGA bio on Bobo, so keep that in mind when reading his places quoted below in the record books)………
HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER: As a star quarterback at Thomasville High School, Bobo was named the 1993 Georgia Player of the Year by both USA Today and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution…………As a senior, he completed 143x245 passes for 2,477 yards and 23 TD's………In his career, he completed 329x590 passes for 5,167 yards and 42 TD's……..He also rushed for 15 TD's……..
COLLEGE PLAYER: A four year letterman, Bobo finished his Bulldog career leading the team in passing in both 1996 and 1997……..He currently ranks high in the Georgia passing record books in several categories including:
season completion percentage (first, 65.0%, 1997),
season passing efficiency rating (first, 155.80, 1997),
career pass attempts, third, 755),
career pass completions (third, 445),
season passing yards (third, 2,751, 1997),
career passing yards (third, 6,334),
season TD passes (third, 19),
career TD passes (second, 38),
most passing yards by a junior (second, 2,440),
most passing yards by a senior (second, 3,396),
and career total offense (third, 6,054).
Bobo’ final stats as the Bulldog quarterback from 1994-97 are: throwing for 6,334 yards, the third-most all-time by a Georgia quarterback……..He threw for 38 TDs and rushed for 2 making his TD responsibility 40……..Wow……That’s a heck of a career, especially considering he got mop up duty only playing behind Eric Zeier one year, and missing 7 games another year………
Bobo also set a Georgia record completing 19 consecutive passes leading Georgia to a 33-6 victory over Wisconsin in the 1998 Outback Bowl……..He completed 26 of 28 passes for 267 yards and one touchdown and was named the game's Most Valuable Player. ……
Elected team captain (1996-97) and permanent team captain of the 1997 Bulldogs, Bobo was named the SEC's Offensive Player of the Week twice following performances against South Carolina (19x33, 285 yards, two TD's) and Georgia Tech (30x39, 415 yards, 4 TD's). ……
COACHING: I’ll not get into details here, because y’all already know……He was a very good offensive coordinaror at UGA for many years, a few so-so years as head coach for Colorado State, and now employed by South Carolina as the Gamecock Offensive Coordinator…….Me thinks he’s going to be a pain in the @$$ for UGA both coaching and recruiting…...I’m always happy to eat crow……We shall see….
Anyway, anyhow, Mike Bobo is a DGD, both as a Bulldawg player, and as a Bulldawg coach……..

TODAY’S @$$HOLE OF THE DAY:
Today’s honored AOTD goes to someone I didn’t know about until yesterday while gathering these tidbits……His name is Joseph Goebbels…....He was the German Nazi Minister of Propaganda for Adolph Hitler…….He was a well educated man, having received his Doctor of Philology degree from the University of Heidelberg……He was one of Adolf Hitler's closest and most devoted associates……
Goebbels was extremely hostile in his views, especially toward Jews.,….. He advocated progressively harsher discrimination, including the extermination of the Jews in the Holocaust…..Simply stated, Goebbels was a mean SOB, a violent brain, with harsh thoughts………Goebbels consistently was in Hitler’s ear to crack down harder in his quest to rule Europe and exterminate the Jews…….
Fast forward to the end of the war…….As the war drew to a close and Nazi Germany faced defeat, Goebbels’ wife and Goebbels six children (ages 4 through 12) joined him in Berlin…….They moved into the underground Vorbunker, part of Hitler's underground bunker complex, on 22 April 1945………..Hitler committed suicide on 30 April…….In accordance with Hitler's will, Goebbels succeeded him as Chancellor of Germany; he served one day in that post…….The following day, Goebbels and his wife committed suicide, after poisoning their six children with cyanide…….
OK, you’ve got a man here that gets a kick out of torturing and killing Jews; plus a man that would kill his very own innocent children……What kind of msn is capable of doing that? Joseph Goebbels was both crazy and mean as hell in the head…..He can put on that AOTD crown and wear it proudly as you burn in hell…..So, on this 75th anniversary of you crawling in a hole and killing your wife, your kids, and yourself because you refused to surrender to Allied forces, the least I can do is anoint you as @$$Hole of the Day…….You are a sorry excuse for a human being………
As always my good Dawg friends, I hope y’all have a Great Bulldawg Day…..Stay Safe…..help MAGA…….and God Bless…….
