Good morning to all you good hearted, yet deplorable Dawgs…..It’s Friday, and I hope everyone is healthy and happy…..Today is National Biscuit Day….A hot biscuit is good with a piece of sausage, with a fried egg, with bacon, with ham, with jelly, with syrup, with gravy, and 10K other ways……We had biscuits almost every day growing up in rural Georgia……Today is also National Coq Au Vin Day, a French dish of braised chicken, cooked with wine, lardons (salt pork), mushrooms, and garlic…..We never had that growing up in rural Georgia (no body in our house could pronounce it)…….Take care folks…….

UGA SPORTS SPOTLIGHT:

I’m gonna mention a Dawg great in the UGA football spotlight section this morning, just to make sure at least something Dawg is mentioned today in this “DAWGChat” forum…Today the Georgia Bulldog in the spotlight is former Dawg center Tommy Lyons………

Contrary to an age old sports myth, you don’t have to be a dumb jock to be a football star in college…..Many professionals today were outstanding football players in the past…….UGA football players are certainly no exception; in fact, no Southern school has produced more National Football Foundation Post-Graduate Scholars than UGA; no Southern School has produced more NCAA Post-Graduate Scholars in football than UGA; no Southern school has produced more NCAA Post-Graduate Scholars in all sports than UGA (and this one isn’t even close)…….The truth is UGA has a proud tradition of graduating some of today’s finest professionals……..Not enough Dawg fans remember that UGA football players set a record of six consecutive coveted National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete recipient awards (also known as the Earl Blaik Fellowship)…….That record is probably safe forevermore, as it’s unlikely to ever be broken………Today, we’ll remember the academic and athletic accomplishments of one of those six scholar-athletes…….The “six in a row” Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete winners from UGA were: Tommy Lawhorne, Bob Etter, Tom Nash, Tommy Lyons, Tim Callaway, and Billy Payne……We’ve already spotlighted Bob Etter, Tom Nash, Billy Payne, and Tommy Lawhorne; today is Tommy Lyons…..

Tommy Lyons, offensive center: earned Class AAA All-State honors when attending Georgia Military Academy in College Park, Georgia…was also the Georgia State Wrestling Champion in the 180 pound class…was UGA’s number one defensive end in 1966 on the Frosh team…played OG in 1967 and moved to center in 1968 where he earned All-American honors in 1968 and again in 1969…he also earned All-SEC and Academic All-SEC honors in those same two years…he was captain of the football team in 1969…he was awarded an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship…he received his undergraduate degree from UGA…he received his post graduate degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1977…he was a six year starter in the NFL for the Denver Broncos…he was inducted into the State of Georgia Sports Hall of Fame…he is an honored member in UGA’s Circle of Honor…in 1996, he was presented the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award…he is a recipient of the Bill Hartman Award, the highest honor a former UGA student-athlete can attain……he is a pioneer in the field of minimally invasive surgery and a noted gynecologic surgeon…he has authored multiple publications concerning laparoscopic surgery…he is currently the Director and a practicing physician for the Center for Women’s Care and Reproductive Surgery in Atlanta… Dr. Thomas Lyons, a DGD!!!!

I almost let this wacko nut-case sneak by……This particular liberal POS idiot pleaded guilty to two charges of transferring obscene material to a minor in 2017, and was sentenced to 21 months in prison, ordered to pay a $10,000 fine, and was required to permanently register as a sex offender…..May 2020 is the one year anniversary of Anthony David Weiner being released from halfway house custody…….Carlos Danger is a free man again…….YIKES!!!!......

anthony-weiner-caught-sexting-with-15-year-old-girl-ftr.jpg

My favorite memory of this scum of the earth was way back when Megyn Kelly was accepted as a Fox News host too hot to fail…….She was interviewing the dishonorable Weiner, and they were going at it like cats and dogs…….Weiner was his usual mouthy arrogant self, trying to disrupt the interview, while Megyn, feeling her Wheaties, rose to the occasion and clawed his @$$ pretty dawggone good……I was proud of Megyn that day…..She flat out told Weiner the interview was hers and she would ask the questions and he would answer her questions……You go girl…….

Time for me to quit wasting time and crown the former US Representative for the honor he is about to receive…..Step up on the podium Mr. Danger, put on that crown, as I now anoint you Anthony “Carlos Danger” Weiner @$$%Hole of the Day…..And Carlos, you can KMA too……

As always folks, I hope each of you have a Great Bulldawg Day.......GATA.....THWGT......MAGA......Go Dawgs......God Bless........

Awesome post, RCH. And happy National Biscuit Day! It’s hard to imagine anyone cooking with lard today, but when I was a pup, I remember both grandmamas making those cat head biscuits using lard from a tin pail. Nothing better than hot biscuits with butter and sorghum syrup to get the day started right.

I appreciate it Eufaula........49 years with one woman........Going after 50.....If I had it to do over again, I’d marry her again.....I’m a lucky man....

Good read. The look on Anthony Weiner's face makes me think he got a glimpse into his future. He's one of those guys that acts directly on behalf of his penis at all times. Sick bastard probably hears it's voice in his head.
