Welcome to August! July was a busy month for the Georgia Bulldogs across multiple class. There won’t be as many commits this month but there will be some. Let’s cover some things as we are one month away from SEC football.
This first note is not insider, just clarification. You’ll see a lot of “Official Offer” edits go out to guys today. Prospects will post of social media. Most aren’t shocking, but the calendar says that official offers can’t be extended until 8/1 going into players’ senior year. It is important in terms of fringe guys, guys you’re wondering if they are a take or not. It’s just something the graphics department kind of has to do now, because everyone else does. They look like this below
Now, onto the important stuff. With NIL, Transfer Portal, and conference realignment dominating the Headlines as far as change in college football, don’t forget about reclassification. There are a couple of ELITE prospects at positions on need in multiple classes for Georgia that are considering doing so. Obviously we here at UGASports would never tip their hand. They deserve to make their own announcements if they choose to do so, but know that those conversations are taking place & Georgia is not opposed to this concept. (I.E. Marcus Washington Jr.)
Lastly, nothing is set in stone until these guys sign in this day and time, but as of now, if signing day were today, Georgia would bring in one of the more impressive WR hauls in recent memory. SPEED for days and include size of guys like T. Williams & Pearce Spurlin as a tight end that is different than any other Georgia has brought in and Georgia will not be devoid of weapons on the perimeter for the next few years. Anthony Evans, Raymond Cottrell, and Yazeed Haynes are all dynamic playmakers and would be a tremendous start to the McClendon era at WR for UGA
