Scheffler arrested outside PGA where a car wreck had occurred

No matter how this plays out if he comes back and wins this tournament that will be stuff of legend. He’s one stroke back at the moment. Crazy.

Sure, understood, but ESPN reported that players were let in after the incident and before Scottie arrived, so maybe there was some miscommunication with the officer? Just seems like this could have been avoided with a rational conversation.
It doesnt matter if the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade took the route. If the officer needed to temporarily stop the route and gave SS a lawful order to stop, he should have stopped and complied. If you make contact with an officer that is ordering you to stop the vehicle, you will and should have a bad day

Ok buddy. You speak as if you know exactly what happened in this situation, you don’t.

Certainly appears to be an over eager cop on a power trip! The reporter who witnessed the situation stated that Scheffler drove around the back of a bus parked in front of the gate at which time the cop jumped on his courtesy car that was clearly marked as a player's car. The reporter stated that he drove maybe 60 feet & stopped the vehicle just off the roadway as any person thinking clearlly would do! It was dark & leaving the car in the middle of the road would have been a terrible idea! All occupations have dumbasses within them, law enforcement is certainly no different!
I have images in my head of Barney Fife jumping on the hood of his car.

There is no group of people who have more authority with less qualifications than cops. Cops get more undeserved approbation than any group of people I can think of and are frequently heroes in their own minds. A cop who escalates a situation like this shouldn’t have any authority or receive any respect.

🤦‍♂️

This just screams " Once upon a time a cop smashed my girlfriend and wiped off on my pillowcase!"

This has the 4 charges he is facing in it
nobody on the Chat cares.
if/when you find your original thread
it will be degraded to we "bottom feeders"
I wouldn't make innocuous posts on the big boy boards.

it makes we lower level dawgs feel inferior when your drivel drips to us...
please,

you aren't dealing with scientists, poets and philosophers...
or maybe that's where you failed.

Unless Scheffler didn't realize the cop had "attached" to his car, he's in a heap o' trouble, and deservedly so.

No he’s not. The city made sure he got out to make his tee time and those charges will be dropped. They are trying to save face in hopes the PGA will come back to Louisville at some point. I wouldn’t hold my breath because this whole situation with the pedestrian fatality and Scheffler has been a clusterf*ck and a bad look.
